Institute for Religious Studies Doctorate

The doctorate at the Institute of Religious Studies confers the academic degree of Doctor of Philosophy (Dr. phil.) and usually takes three years to complete. As a rule, a certificate of the academic degree M.A. in Religious Studies must be submitted to register a doctoral project.

The doctorate is proof of the ability to carry out independent academic work. This proof requires the submission of a scientific paper (dissertation) and an oral examination (defence) in the subject of Religious Studies.
